im not sure if i am......
if i am it is very slow, im not sure if its from leakin urine or if its amniotic fluid.
i have noticed that over the last few days i have been a little wet everytime i go to the toilet, iv also noticed a slight odour (its not a nasty smell, quite sweet or floral if you like)
iv not noticed any odd discharge or anything a long with it, or out of the normal. (just the usual clear stuff).
im probab;y being silly and its just a bit of urine.
i havent lost my mucas plug, well not that iv noticed so can you still leak fluid if you havent lost it, in which case if you cant it must just be urine.
sorry if a bit confusing.
thanks in advance
i am 39 weeks with 1st

Let your doctor know about this. They always say it's probably just urine, but they are not physic's. I was slowly loosing my fluids with my 2nd child, so when I went into labor, my water never broke. They treated me like crap for not saying anything, and my daughter had to be put on antibiotics after birth since there wasn't any fluid around her. I also had to stay two extra days at the hospital. They shouldn't have said it was urine, and they should have checked me. Doctors think they know everything. Don't sound unsure when you tell them, insist that you feel like you've lost some fluid! Good luck!!!!!

That smell definately sounds like the smell of amniotic fluid. It is very distinctive, I leaked like that and had to use sanitary towels and as I walked around the shops I was convinced people would notice the smell as it seemed to surround me. You must go to the hospital though as they need to monitor you for infection and will induce you if you don't go into spontaneous labour. Good luck.

I am 26 weeks and last week had the same thing, I left it 3 days before I told my midwife and the hospital was not pleased I left it that long, tell your doctor/midwife/hospital now because if you are the baby is at risk of infection. Good luck

You need to go to the dr. or call him. If you are leaking they will want to see you, because if your membranes are ruptured for longer then 12 hours you and your baby are at risk for infection. The dr. will most likely have you go to the hospital to check you cervix and if you are they may start antibiotics just to be safe.
Good Luck and Congradulations

Your water doesn't always break it sometimes leaks go to the OB because this can become dangerous for the baby you can safely deliver at 39 weeks.

Probably a good idea to put your mind at ease and call your doctor to explain what is happening. They are the best ones to give you the answer.

i kept doing this towards the end of my pregnancy, cos the baby was pressing on my bladder,but.......you better get checked out, because you could get an infection if it's amniotic fluid

It will soon be full blown labour, your body is just giving you a little warning. Good luck with your new baby.
