well. i dont know about lonliness alone. but i do know that depression lowers your immune system and leaves you succeptable to getting really sick. i guess if you dont have the will to fight it, your body as well as your mind could give up.

Nope hun... However you shouldn't doom yourself to loneliness. We all enjoy moments of loneliness but this shouldn't be a permanent situation. Take a deep breath and refresh your life. Organise parties , call friends for a coffee , a walk at the shops or may be a cinema... Start making bonds with people ...

Yes,because loneliness is like depression and people know that you can die of depression because some people dont eat, dont care about money, and even commit suicide.I think it is a very serious issue to be lonely.

Depends on the person if he/she still have the mood to live. The worst part is not dying from loneliness, it's living in it.

Thought I would die a lonely man, in endless night.
But now I'm high; running wild among all the stars above

Certainly.....
Most people are social beings that need affection, attention & companionship. When we lack these for an extended period of time, certainly the soul & spirit die... when that happens, the physical body can die as well....
