Paine did not write the Bill of Rights. It is based on earlier documents such as The Virginia Bill of Rights. James Madison is generally considered the "Father" (white male European) of the Bill of Rights if not the author.

I would like to remind you that the "plain English" of the Bill of Rights is constantly being argued over in the courts.

Thomas Paine was influential in the American and French revolutions but largely fell out of favor afterward because of his radicalism and atheism.

Thomas Paine is not considered the father of Democracy because he didn't invent it. The Greeks did a really long time ago.

The Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution. One is nothing without the other.

Thomas Paine was a great writer, thinker and activist.

Who cares that it was written by white male land owners. They were generally the only ones back then who could read and write. What our original authors penned was brilliant and is still good today. They had plenty of bad examples to choose from as most of Europe was corrupt and void of human rights. Thank God they wrote what they wrote.
