Everyone knew their name since birth because you we're called by your name constantly, but if you mean when did I learn to SPELL my name I was about 6, plus my name only has 6 letters, so it's not so many letters to learn. That's what parents should consider when naming their children to not name them a LONG, HARD name, so it wouldn't be so difficult to learn the spelling.
I never misspelled it but my teachers always get the last three letters mixed up.

My mom said I started talking when I was 6 months old & could sing the whole "Twinkle Twinkle" song by 9 months old. So I'd say by 7 months old I knew my name and could speak it. But I had 2 older brothers that were always playing with me, may they rest in piece, so I think that is why I caught on so fast. Bless their souls. I really miss them.

Don't babies learn their names very early?
Parents call you Mary/Johnny as soon as you're born and very early on you respond to it.
At least I did....maybe you had a learning problem.
