I'm not sure what everyone thinks they know about Penn State Football. Anthony Morelli passe for 2500+ yards and 18 TD's for a traditionally defense and run dominant team. Also Rodnay Kinlaw started only five games and finished the season with almost 1200 yards rushing. Not bad. PSU's D is ranked in the top ten in the country. The have two of the best linebackers in the country and both will be in the running for the Butkus Award. Dan Connor will win.

Penn State did all this with minimal senior leadership. They will only lose 3 senior starters this year.

Next year they have two of the top 12 ILB in the nation commited as well as returning Sean Lee and Tyrell Sales. "GO Linbacker U"

As for Joe Paterno, he has had 5 losing seasons in 42 as the Head Coach. He has had 5 undefeated untied seasons Has won two national championships '82 & '86 and probably should have had two or three more '68, 69' & '94. He has changed his game plans to bring the team back from four losing season out of five to win the Big Ten and then finish with two more respectable records of 10-3 and 8-4.

Penn State did a respectable job in the always tough Big Ten.

By the way the Big Ten has 10 Bowl Eligible teams same as SEC. ACC & Big 12 have 7. C-USA has 6. Mount West and PAC 10 have 5.

PSU did well this year and will do better next. I look for a possible run at the NC. We have Darryl Clark ay QB, remember what happened last time we had a running QB and a tough as hell "D". 11-1 and #3 in the nation.

"GO NITTANY LIONS"

WE ARE...

It is up to the police to investigate crimes and the district attorney's to prosecute (I got that from Law & Order). The police should have been informed so that a proper investigation could be conducted to determine what really happened. Perhaps then a more accurate picture of what occurred could have been gleaned rather than now after so much time has passed. All citizens in the state of Pennsylvania are MANDATORY reporters of POSSIBLE child abuse. If a person has any reasonable cause to suspect ANY kind of sexual misconduct involving a child has occurred, they have the legal obligation to report it to the police. Everyone that knew about these allegations had a duty to report them. The fact that Sandusky was told by the school administrators not to bring children onto the campus anymore means the school certainly thought there was merit to what was reported and, essentially said, "We don't care if you abuse children, just don't do it here." If these events happened at some no-name summer camp or day care, there would be no sympathy for the administrators or coach. Why, then, because this guy is a football coach should he be held less accountable?

As an alumnus, I'm completely embarrased. This year's team had to have been the absolute wrost I have ever seen! Morelli should have been taken out several games ago, and whoever recruted for PSU this year should be immediately fired. I tought Kerry Collins stunk to high heaven a few years ago, but Morelli takes the cake. I hope next year there are drastic changes.

I just keep wondering when Penn St. is gonna get the balls to ask Paterno to retire. Yes, He's an Icon in football. So is Bowden. But,, it's time for them to step down. And do it with dignity. Before they do more harm than good for the future of their programs.

Massively overrated. Played no one out of conference and ended up going 4-4 in conference with the loss to Michigan State yesterday (who finally managed to win a close one). Morelli might be the worst QB in the Big Ten, and that's saying a lot in a really bad conference.

They were a really good team.

Too bad they play in the powerful Big 10 and got beat up this year.

If they played in the SEC they would be undefeated and playing in the National Championship game.

Love em, as I am from western PA and Pitt and PSU are kinda home-town teams. I think they could have won more games and sadly Joe Pa is too old for coaching now.
