Americans or Iranians?

Americans wanted Sunni Al Qaeda out of Iraq but so did the Shia Iranians.

Americans wanted Saddam out of power but so did the Iranians.

Americans wanted a democratic Iraqi Govt. & so did the Shia Iranians because Iran knew that the Iraqi Shia would dominate that Govt. & become instant Iranian allies.

Bush basically did what millions of Iranian troops couldn't during the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s which doesn't really make much sense when Bush put Iran on the axis of evil list? Does it?

I didn't read all the way though, but you are right in one regard. It will take time to determine if the Iraq War was good or bad for the USA. It will take at least a decade after we leave to fully understand everything and the impact caused. Those who state they know now know nothing about history, and only talk to hear themselves talk.

A couple of weeks mean you won? This war was lost a couple of years ago. Has the US ever won a war that it went in alone? Iraq?no Korea?no Vietnam?no. Why not tell the truth instead of half truths. Is Al-Sadr gone no , he is just being patient. Why isn't there much reporting outside of the green zone? I thought the war was over with the photo-op air carrier landing. (That is the most action the President has ever seen) and that only cost the taxpayers 1 million dollars. Isn't that sort of an expensive picture?

Winning the Iraq war? With an average of 66 dead US servicemen/women and more than 1000 civilian deaths a month?

the climate there has changed since the Iran/Iran conflict, and so has our policy. most civilians don't get this. we are told maybe 1/10 of what is really going on over there, and most of this is coming from biased conservative or liberal media sources. if you want better understanding, read the soldiers' blogs. Then head to the library and brush up on foreign policy, middle eastern history and politcs. That will give you a better understanding of what's going on, rather than confused quasi-logic from fox news or msnbc

seems like most Iraqis aren't much interested in an Iranian style theology though. So I'd guess they're the ones who really are winning, eh?

The war was won within weeks of the invasion.

The terrorist insurgent activity will wither away as soon as the iranian government that sponsors the terrorism is removed.

Iran is the key to the peace in iraq and possibilty of peace between israel and its neighbours.

Lets do it!

This isn't a war we can win. It's a civil war that has been exacerbated by the US invasion into Iraq.
The US needs to fix what's wrong in America before she starts 'fixing' things in other countries.

Anyone who says, "this is a war we cannot win" is extremely misguided and very narrow minded.
