The area of the U.S. that includes Kansas, parts of Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa and Nebraska. I live in one of the Rocky Mountain states and I don't like the prairie states geographically/physically. I don't like the areas of those states that are absolutely flat. The tornado thing bothers me, too. We don't have tornadoes because of the mountains. However, the people I met there were warm, friendly, helpful and kind. And-BTW-to the British answerer, don't suggest to me that the USA has some sort of over-abundance of fat people and criminals. I've been to Britian and I was robbed in London. All nations have obesity and lawlessness. Obesity alone killed 30,000 people in the U.K. last year. It has quadrupled in the U.K. in the last 20 years. Quit stereotyping Americans.

Boy this is a tough question to answer. As there were a few
places I didn't like living in. Since I'd have to flip a coin, I'm
going to just list them.
First was outside of Anniston, Alabama. Hot and sticky in
the summer when I was there for basic training. And they
didn't have air conditioning then. Just fans to circulate the
air coming in. Try scraping a razor blade across a tile floor
to get the wax off, in heat like that. That was torture my entire
platoon had to do when it was deemed necessary.
Second was in an area of San Jose. I never found people
there friendly. Everyone kept their drapes drawn. And I lived
there two separate times for a year each, due to my husbands' working there. It was the most expensive area
we've ever lived.
Third place goes to Indio, California. The heat is horrible
and getting more humid due to the pools, and golf courses,
just like Phoenix, Arizona. The dry heat, isn't dry anymore!

In 1975, 76, and part of 77 I lived in Lufkin, Tx. I was not happy there. It was either hot and humid or cold and rainy. I didn't have a Texas or any kind of southern accent so I was considered a "Yankee" even though I was from California. The people I worked with were pleasent, but I had no friends there. My poor kids had no friends. They were 10 and 13 when we moved there. Almost forgot to mention the bugs! Misquitoes, gnats, fleas, red bugs and chiggers. They were awful. I could hardly wait to be transfered to Colorado. I wouldn't go back there for all the tea in China!

Pakistan was my LEAST favorite place to visit (followed by only a margin, Djibouti). I think my least favorite place to live, although I've only visited and done a few week project there, is the San Diego, California area.

Florida was a nice place to visit but when I moved there, I was miserable! I didn't like the heat and the rain which was followed by more heat. I don't like living any place where the spiders are big enough to enroll in kindergarten! The fleas, the snakes, the alligators, the bobcats. NOT FOR ME! I only stayed four months.

everywhere i'm able to be certain and hear the sea. because of the fact that I stay extraordinarily on the fringe of smack interior the middle of a continent that would sound a sprint unusual - yet when I lived any nearer i'd on no account get something performed. first mild, sundown, the evening stars, rain moving in or out, and surprisingly thunderstorms. while the sunlight is out our surroundings interior the leading side is an added bonus on the sea coast even though it is not what I got here for and is no longer what retains me coming decrease back as regularly as i'm able to.

Back in the day (post war 1940's), my stepfather worked for a lumber company outside Klamath Falls, Oregon. They provided housing for their employees and those places were horrible. Cold, drafty and tiny.
We lived in two of them over a five year period.
They were of the "shot-gun" architecture, up on stilts to keep it from sinking in the mud, with wooden planks that led from the roadway to the front door. Woodstove, outdoor plumbing and no hot water........

One of the neighborhoods that I lived in in Houston. It was very nice when I moved in and then it seemed like over night I was afraid to go out after dark. Several years later and now
it is gang and drug infested and I see on the News about murders often.
