Most of you want Universal Health Care, for example, which is proven doesn't work to save lives, or help anyone get the care they need, ask England, and Canada. Most of you want the government in charge of we the people, some of you supporting Hugo Chavez, and his liberal American actors supporters. Hugo's idea of government is the same as Germany's during WWI, WWII, USSR's....each having "health-care" supported by the government (Socialist, and Communist being the same thing). Explain to me, please, how a government's control of you is freedom?

This health care issue wouldn`t exist if Ted Kennedy had enforced his 1st Amnesty Bill ; and he & his gang of thieves had built the damn fence 21 years ago like they "promised" and we wouldn`t be discussing this right now ! You people keep throwing out the number 43 million uninsured , did you ever stop to think , probably 30 million are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS sucking the US Health Care System bone dry ?? It`s all about the VOTES` for POWER , if you promise someone something for free if you get elected , who in the crap do you think they are going to vote for ??

You will never understand that the American ideal of freedom was and is a government made up OF the people, controlled BY the people, FOR the benefit of the people, If you see the government as a force in conflict with the people, you will never be a true American.
No liberal that I know of wants ANYBODY to be on welfare. Welfare is an economic device to maintain a level of unemployment that keeps wages down, and profits up.
And you need to ask Canada and England about their health care. I hear few if any complaints outside of Republican propagandists. Why do millions of Americans get their prescriptions filled in Canada every day?

"Liberals, do you want your children to be on welfare, or be successful because they earned it?"

The latter, but I certainly want there to be a social safety net. Most people are three pay checks away from a foodline.

"Most of you want Universal Health Care, for example, which is proven doesn't work to save lives, or help anyone get the care they need, ask England, and Canada."

It's been proven to work much better than the U.S. system. If this weren't true, most or all modern countries would have a U.S. type health care system. But they don't... and they don't want a U.S. style health care system. Why? Because it doesn't work... for anyone but the wealthy and the corporations.

"Most of you want the government in charge of we the people,"

Wrong, the U.S. government is in control now. What liberals want is a government that answers to the people, and responds to the will of the people.

"some of you supporting Hugo Chavez, and his liberal American actors supporters. As above.

"Folks, I have asked my two good friends in England...I've known them for 7 years....UHC isn't working....they're children remain sickly."

LOL!! Oh well...hard to imagine. All sick kids in America get better 100% of the time.

Incredible...

Sometimes in a person's life they need help. Regardless of people stating they are tired of paying for other peoples mistakes and misfortunes. As a citizen of the USA I would rather help out our own citizens than helping other countries. There are children that go hungry everyday in this country and there are people that need medical assistance, and if they are on state aid, what difference does that make? People who have everything and their children or fed and warm at night ridicule those who can't do the same. But, you must remember, people are not equal within the realms of education and poverty. If a person believes in God - I think that should help other people. I don't like the governments control over us. Things in this world change constantly and nothing ever stays the same. And I don't like the eye in the sky and all of the regulations that the government puts on us. But, hopefully things will get better.... we can only hope..................

I'm a liberal and my kids ARE successful. They did not sit around and wait for handouts. They earned scholarships.
I do believe the health care system is in a terrible state. Health care shouldn't be a class issue and right now it is. If you're wealthy and can afford health care, you'll likely get taken care of if you get sick or hurt. But if you're poor and don't have insurance, you're pretty much screwed.
And those of you who say "That's why we have emergency rooms", I've seen bills that were over $4,000 for an emergency visit that didn't even include an overnight stay!

If your employer doesn't provide health care you just have to hope for the best. It shouldn't depend on your employer to give you health insurance anymore than car insurance. And if Government wants to do it, then just take it out of your paychecks like taxes and the more you pay the better your plan would be.

if we start handing out health care like they are proposing.
who is going to want to spend all those years in collage to have the government tell them how they can treat their patients? I don't know about everyone else but I for one like my doctor because he wants to be a doctor and not because the government had a hand in his decision to become a doctor.

This is not a valid argument against universal health care. Very successful individuals in all of the other industrialized countries enjoy universal health care. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive.

No individual in those countries goes without health care whether successful or unsuccessful, just starting out or well established, mega-rich or very poor.

I want every man, woman & child to have the right to the same health care as a Bill Gates.

Money shouldn't decide who lives and dies.

I have no idea how to achieve that goal....that's not my job, that's the job of the people I cast my ballot for.

I believe in AFFORDABLE health care for everyone.
