I love combining leftovers and lunch. Take a chicken roasted for dinner the previous evening, then use a fork to shred the meat off of it to make chicken salad for a sandwich.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup go together well.

All else failing, go to Wal-Mart and buy a sandwich maker. Spray it up with Pam, put whatever you want inside, close it and let it cook for a few minutes, you've got a nice, home, or office, made version of the HotPocket.

As for me, I'm going to my favorite place for roasted garlic and potato soup, crostinis made from pecan wheat bread and a beer. Or maybe to the Tipp for an authentic shepherd's pie and a pint of Goose Island Honker's Ale.

And you've always got one of my favorite standby's. Drain a can of kernel corn, use a collander to rinse a can of black beans, combine the contents of both cans in a pot, slice in some cooked sausage, (I like andoille,) and you can always eat it right out of the pot.

For what it's worth, I'm a bachelor, so I consider anything that wasn't cooked by me to be fine dining, I eat over the sink for easy clean up, often right out of the pot I've cooked it in.
