yes pigs will eat human foods but that's fattening, great if your going to eat the pig, nothing better than pork fat ... best to give a pet pig dietetic pig foods from the pet store if you want to keep it small size .... that is usually a balance of grains and hay mix.
in the wild pigs eat fruits, nuts, sweet grass, roots, edible plants and bugs .... they will eat meat if available .
just like us but a whole lot smarter ;)

There is commercial pig feed that is made for pigs (just like dogs and cats) and most pigs eat that. There is even a type manufactured specifically for pot bellied pigs. But pigs are omnivores like humans and will eat many other kinds of food, and in the old days would often be fed a diet of table scraps.

Farmers feed their pigs on commercially-prepared mash, often supplemented by home-grown corn and other vegetables. If you're considering keeping one as a pet, first check with your municipal authorities to be sure it's allowed (some won't even let you keep a Vietnamese Potbellied Pig) and then buy feed for it from your local farm supply store like Agway.
In the wild, hogs are exceedingly opportunistic: they'll uproot and destroy your garden, root up and eat young shrubbery and tree shoots, all kinds of mushrooms, and carcasses. During the American Civil War, wild hogs were seen rooting up the dead who were buried on the battlefields and eating the corpses.
When my mother-in-law used to keep pigs, she'd feed them table scraps as well as the commercial feed - but she made sure to cook the scraps; little piggies can get sick from eating spoiling food just like people can.

Pigs are omnivourous, just like folks, so will eat anything. A pig will certainly eat dogfood, but that would not contain as wide a range of nutrients as a pig needs to be healthy. Showtime and Showchow (both made by Purina) are two brands of balanced pig food you can buy.

a pig will eat most anything. which is why they are popular on the farm. they are a garbage disposal. dog food is fine, grain is good. left overs are good too. their stomach is designed to eat a variety of things. if you are looking for a treat,.. apples and banana, but some pigs (horses too) really love those little peppermint candy's, oh and they love to drink milk

Pig's will literally eat anything. Anything that you would class as food waste (not packaging! lol) they will eat. Pig's will chew on dog toys (large dog toys) and treats are anything that you would class as a treat. Something sweet, but regardless of the name, just like all species these should be given in quantity!
