im thinking about doing it how do i go about it

You take the licensing course, pass the background check, pass the state and national exam. Pay your dues to your local Real Estate assocation and the NAR. Hang your license with a brokerage. Good luck.

1st you learn.

IMHO, it is best to learn from an actual person do is doing deals of a kind you are interested in, NOT from one of the seemingless endless parade of hucksters who will teach you their method in exchange for 2,000 USD.

that means you have to find a person to learn from and make a deal with them [what can you do in exchange?] to let you look over their shoulder.

find => ask everyone you know and meet.
deal => bargain

if you are unable or unwilling to do these first two steps, I suggest that you're not suited to "doing real estate" because every deal I've ever heard about required both finding and bargaining.
