Na2C03+ HNO3 ---> Na2NO3 + H20 + CO2
this is as far as i got....
is there a gogd formula or something that can be used?

Just take it one at a time, this is an easy one i will show you the long way thats 100& accurate everytime.
Na2CO3 + HNO3 ----> Na2NO3 + H2O + Co2
its called a matrix heres the steps
1. assign letters to the colums
so Na2CO3 is (a), HNO3 is (b), Na2NO3 is (c), H2O is (d) and CO2 is (e)

Now create rows for each element and assisng the letters to whatever column there in
Na (2a) (2c) <--because theres 2 Na in this column
C (a) (e)
O (3a) (3b) (3c) (d) (2e)
H (b) (2d)
N (b) (2c)

Now turn them into simple equations
2a=2c simplify to a=c
a=e
3a+3b=3c+d+2e
b=2d
b=2c

Now make a=1, and solve the equaions.
if a=c then 1=c
if a=e then 1=e
if b=2c then b=2
if b=2d then 2=2d. so d=1
if 3a+3b=3c+d+2e then 3+6=3+1+2e therefor 2e=5. so e=2.5 or 5/2

Now go through and make all of them whole numbers
a=1 * 2 = 2
b=2 * 2 = 4
c=1 *2 = 2
d=1 * 2 = 2
e=5/2 * 2 = 5
I got 2 becasue it was the smallest number to turn 5/2 into a whole number. then becuase i multiplied 1 of htem by 2 i have to multiply all by 2.

No just plug them all in.
*column a=2 so put 2 in the column a which was Na2CO3.
do the same for the rest
(2)Na2CO3 + (4)HNO3 ---> (2)Na2NO3 + (2)H2O + (5)CO2
and htats your final equation

Na2CO3 + 2HNO3 = 2NaNO3 + H2O + CO2

The nitrate anion is mono-basic, that is it will only combine with a cation of charge '+1', on a one for one basis. Hence your 'Na2NO3' is incorrect, this is a 'two-for-one; arrangement. To balance the equation two moles of nitric acid (HNO3) are needed.
You see that the same number of individual atoms is the same on both the left and right sides of the equation.

No, it sounds not good....

You have to write

Na2CO3 + 2 HNO3 ---> 2 NaNO3 + H2O + CO2

Now, you may verify the Lavoisier or atomic balancement.

The equations look Balanced, as per the precipitation SrSO4, AgI,PbBr2, 2NH4NO3, BaCrO4, CaCO3. That's whatI would logically have for precipitation.
