Its not me who wants to wait a very long time to marry again. He has been in a few BAD marriages and is quite fed up, though our love is deep enough for marriage, it isnt going to happen anytime too soon....So here is my answer to all of you. When you were in high school, you were committed by wearing his class ring, didnt mean marriage, it meant you were serouse with one boy- If I wear a diamond on my left hand for 1 year or 20 years, it still means Im committed to one man. So for the record....engaged means more than just dating , it means a serouse committment. And if I do continue to get hit on by other idiots who cant tell Im not interested from the get-go, then i will deal with that idot. Most men will respect a committed relationship....

OK...so.... Is there a question? Is this a continuation of a previous post that I missed?

However, I do not entirely agree with your statement. Marriage is a legal contract and represents the ultimate commitment in each other. Engagement is a verbal, non-binding commitment. Understand he has had a few bad experiences with marriage which may make him reluctant. However, it appears to me that he wants to keep his options open. He's already demonstrated repeatedly that he lacks commitment. What makes you different? By not marrying, it just makes it whole lot easier to break it off when he decides he wants a change. Enjoy it while it lasts, but don't make plans to grow old with this guy....it'll never happen.

What exactly is your question? This looks to me like you're spitting up some aggravation and not asking anything.
