Actually when I 1st started this in the "Design" forum. I answered a bunch of questions. Then a couple of weeks later I came back and saw that a bunch were in voting. I'm type-A and can't stand loose ends, so I went in and voted for what I could remember my answers being (LOL...didn't even know how many points I got for BA).

Anyway...I got 11 BA's that day. So I assume that is what that person did. If I stopped doing this for a long period of time, came back and saw a bunch in voting, I might do that too.
In Politics, it wouldn't be easy to do, because most people on it are type-A and choose a BA.

LOL...So I guess that's my confession. I'm sure there are others who have done the same.

Probably not. There is some gaming that goes on, which is pretty pathetic. Spending your spare time to get more points. It should be a forum for legitimate questions and answers. If people are just trying to "win", then for what? Points? HAHA. But then again, why worry about it. It can be frustrating, but getting to the next level isn't going to solve any of my immediate problems. So I just try to answer questions honestly, and if other people beat me out for best answer by gaming, so what, most people know the difference between an honest answer and gaming. The biggest problem, you see people with a lot of points and it gives them a bit of legitimacy and expertise even if some of them haven't earned it. But I'm not going to waste my time with gaming. I'd rather play with the kids or spend time with my wife.

Hypothetically speaking, I would be pretty suspicious of ANYONE who was able to post so many answers that 14 of them would be called "Best", by legitimate third parties. Does seem awfully hard to believe someone can earn so many points in one week.

But then Im not sure who youre talking about, if indeed you have someone specific in mind. I have my suspicions, but that's all.

Possible or probable?

It is possible. If you make up multiple user names and give yourself best answer you can probably do it in about 5 hours.

I notice most people have about 10 percent (give or take 5) best answers. If we say a minimum of 5% of the answers will be best a person would have to answer 20 questions for every best answer so if you answered between 140 and 280 questions in one day you could get 14 legitimate best answers in less than a day. You would have to be level 5 or above.

Getting that many people to clean up their questions in one section seems hard to fathom. Especially here. But numerous postings, religion & spirituality & surveys have a life all their own. Then anything, in my opinion is possible. TY.

That seems like an awful lot of work for a community where the point don't really matter. It's not like it's money.
