It's our first Thanksgiving without Dad. It won't be easy, but we have so much to be thankful for, we will definitely be celebrating. My Mom, three brothers, and a few friends are getting together at my house (with my husband and 4 children) for the day. We are having the same kind of meal we have every year and will carry on the same traditions we have in years past.
It's just going to stink a little without Dad here.

My heart goes out to everyone "out there" who has lost a loved one this year and is facing their first holidays without them.
Give Thanks Anyway - there is always something to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving!

going to grandma's house where the whole family will be gathered.... if we are lucky we can be entertained by some of the members getting mad at each other and start arguing. There will be plenty of turkey and dressing but not enough ham, mashed potatoes or dumplings.

My family is just myself and my son, but we always do the full turkey dinner thing just as if we had 20 people here. Lots of left over, but we like leftovers. Even when my son was away and I was along, I did the full turkey dinner things, REALLY lots of lefts overs but still OK. Your own state of mind is what is important.....if you enjoy your own company and I am my best friend.

Happy holidays,

I'm staying home. My grandma and aunts and uncle and cousin are coming over. But it's not really giong to be thanksgiving because my grandpa just died, so it won't be the same without him.

I'm staying home, and cooking dinner even though I pray that a friend of mine that I invited will be coming over, I might not know until he calls and lets me know that he's nearly here; lol.
