No. Your true self is not revealed when drunk. Allowing yourself to get drunk is pretty revealing. People say and do things that they didn't intend, and can sometimes regret for the rest of their lives, like drunk driving, date rape, abuse, the list goes on. So no I don't think those things are true personality traits. I think alcohol releases your natural inhibitions, and some restraint is neccessary in life and the true part of someones make up, not the tearing down of inhibitions part.

shows differently. no, and i will tell u why.. drinking can change someone who is gentile into someone that is mean.. drinking can change someone who is shy in nature to someone totally different. IT AFFECTS THE BRAIN AND NUMBS THE NERVES SOMEONE THAT GETS drunk can become pure foolish when they are sober they be be like a little wallflower..
it seems alcohol consumption affects people differently,, how many young girls have lost their innocence due to getting drunk and how many young men have ended up in a morgue doing some dangerous stunt that would not of happened if they had full control of their mental facilities?
some say alcohol is no big deal ,sorry the statistics involving the consumption of alcohol shows differently

i believe so.
when i'm drunk, i know exactly what i'm talking about, i just don't care what the consequences will be. i'm not saying this is good, because many times we hurt people with our ''drunk behaviour'', although we don't really want to, but that is the time when we are the most honest.
however, i don't believe it's right to hate someone because of his ''drunk behaviour''. except if this happens often, then you really know that this person is not worth it.

Not really. I think drunk people will say whatever pops into their heads but it is not necessarily their 'true colors'. I have known very nice people when they are sober, but when they are drunk, they are as mean as a rabid dog.

over time, i would say yes. but not on a one time deal. it all depends on how one goes into drinking as to how one will end up. if one is depressed, then alcohol could be a bad idea. if one is silly - then that has the potential to be amplified. and it depends on who one is hanging with at that time as well.
but take everything with a grain of salt. and watch the person over a few times - it may be that they just can't handle their booe and in which case this tells you they have poor judgement anyways....

Yes because alcohol makes some individuals over confident and they become brave enough to speak and act the truth .

My ex-boyfriend without alcohol would not express his true feelings. He was very guarded but when he consumed alcohol he would say some terrible things to me. I felt that is how he felt all along. Thank God he is gone now.
