Not sure what the question is but if you want to know if we like to call that guy st.nick or santa it really depends what your trying to convey. If you have little children and you don't want to tell them that santa is real-not that he is- you can still use st.nick because he was a real fellow. And then if your writing a childrens story it really depends on the message and context and of course the way its being told.
