when a point of infinite density began to expand at very fast speed wouldn't time exist before hand so that the events needed for that big bang could happen?

The universe resides outside of time. I know this is hard for most people to believe, but consider the rules of physics you know... at its simplest, matter resides outside of time; the only instance for matter and time to be in the same equation is when energy moves or manipulates matter. Else, compared to matter, time is inert.
Expand that to the universe and you get what we call the "matter/energy continuum", which means what it says - that in the form of matter or energy, matter has always been.
This concept is so simple, but flies into the face of human thinking, which involves causality.

The point of the Big Bang Theory is that Nothing existed before the Big Bang... Not even time! Everything started at the nanosecond that the bang occurred.

I assure you, the correct answer is that we don't know. We don't know how much of our extrapolation to the big bang is valid, especially to the point of a singularity. We don't know whether spacetime was part of creation, or if it existed before the material universe. We don't even know whether the concept of space beyond the universe event horizon is even meaningful. The leanings of science, and even of early theologians like Maimonides in the 12th century and Augustine in the 5th century, are that time (or spacetime) was part of creation.

no i think that just at that point where the bang was made then the time would have been created at that exact time. but that is so complicated and confusing it is making my brain hurt very much.

Of course. If the universe is infinite (which i believe it is ), then time and everything else would also infinitely exist within.

goes to show the scientists dont kno squat!!

I thought bout stuff like that very often...

the simplest explanation I could find was RELIGION...

GOD has said "do not overthink about celestial events" the answer you will find is even more questions, ones even more unfathomable than the last...

Scientists also back this up saying we only use 10% ov our brains, so its only natural that we dont understand the goings on in the universe fully...

to answer the question, no, time did not have to exist, nor were there any of the three spatial dimensions (length width depth x-y-z). It was something "other", and my brain hurts even thinking about it so that is all I care to say.

Sorry, I don't know. But I look forward to all the "religious" answers that are sure to come. Should be good for a few laughs.
