Well depends on your ideology. Purple was a prized color as has been previously mentioned, but actually Blue has the most clerical/ practinoner refrences.

Purple. It suggests royalty, magic and mystery...

Indigo could even work... because supposedly indigo symbolizes intuition, meditation, deep contemplation... and isn't mystery simply deep contemplation? [Never quite sure.]
