Cubic isometric crystals block crossed polarized light, so if crossed polarized light ever shines at you, you can use cubic isometric crystals to block it.

Be more specific. A cubic isometric crystal isn't a thing, its a classification for many things. Which crystal are you talking about. NaCl? PbS? FeS2?
