My family (2 adults& 2 kids - 4 & 2 year old) plan to staying in San Jose, for 2 years as my husband is going to work in San Jose,Sunnyvale.

1) Which place/area is safe and nice to stay for chinese family?
2) What are the things to take note and prepare as this is the 1st time I stay oversea for such a long period?
3) How to manage home sick for myself and kids?
4) Any places in San Fransico have Singapore food?
5) What is the best way to adapt when staying oversea?
6) Others if you can share with me your experience.....

You ask same question in SF, and the answer would be same, most area around san jose, mountain view are good, not like SF, there is A LOT chinese there, you will not feel homesick.

Cupertino has lots of Asian people, is a safe city and has the highest rated schools in the area. It's also right next to Sunnyvale. I think you'd like it.

If you get homesick for China, just go to San Francisco. They have the largest Chinatown in the world.

I think the best way you can adapt is to join a church and get active in your new community meeting people. Don't just try to meet other Chinese people though. Make American friends.
