YEAH!!!! Good for you!! Recovery is hard, especially when you are quitlting everything at once. I know a bunch of people who have quit using Chantix but it is a powerful drug so go to the doctor and see if it is right for you!!! Y ou could have worse vices than coffee and sex!! Just dont drink coffee WHILE you are having sex!!! :)>.

Good for you and you're going about it the right way by setting a date!
I quit smoking last year but have recently been diagnosed as Alcohol dependant, so how about a pact that we both quit our vices on Jan 1st, first one to fail has to do a forfeit!
btw, your vice can be, a healthy lifestyle, wierd I know but I can just about remember when I had one and want it back!

LOL...I have been sober for 20 years... quit at age 23. When I told my sponser that I didn't have any vices after quitting she rolled with laughter and suggested I go work the steps. Trust me, YOU will have plenty to work on after you quit smoking. Great job on your recovery... it is one day at a time and you will be able to quit smoking. Keep laughing, chewing gum and your other vices will appear!!! Then we get to quit those...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It is a great life clean and sober and smokeless! Good luck!

I would have to say Saltines, Coffee and Energy Drinks, they are bad cause they make your blood pressure higher.
So its a vice if your talking about disobeying your doctor.
You shouldn't need a vice, they only make you live shorter.
If you did sex as your vice it would be healthy, but the way you made it sound, sounded as if you were gonna become a prostitute/ gigolo.
Which could make you live shorter if you got an STD.
Or if you have an STD you will spread it.

I tried many times with patches, gum and all but when I stopped cold turkey the constant sex and thinking about sex and the fact that peppermint sticks actually killed the craving.
You can do it and I wish you good luck.
The alcohol was the hardest for me but I've been sober for about 7 years. Ice tea and cornbread took the place of pills and 90 proof

Why dont you try just to keep yourself busy. Maybe pick up a few groups in your community or go to church or something. That way you are so busy you dont realize that youre not doing it.

I can provide something to keep your mouth busy.
