An awful lot of banks have been bought out over the last 30 years, and I would imagine that those stocks would be redeemable for stock in the bank that bought them out.
What bank is it (originally), and were they bought out, and if so, by whom?
In my old home town, there were two major banks. One of them was bought out by Norwest Bank, which in turn, was bought out by Wells Fargo. The other one was bought out by First Interstate Bank, which was then also bought out by Wells Fargo (but still does business as First Interstate to preserve the illusion of competion).
