-5(x + 4) > 3(x - 4)

simplify it,

-5x -20 > 3x -12

combined like terms,

-5x -3x > -12 + 20

solve for x,

-8x > 8

-8x / -8 > 8 / -8

x < -1 is the answer.

remember when you are dividing or multipliying -1 of inequalities, the inequalities will chage.

-5x > 3x+8 - BRING THE -20 TO THE OTHER SIDE
