Under the law they're equal. A woman can get charged with spousal abuse or assault just like a man can.
Men don't "have to sit" anywhere or take anything. If they wanted it to end a simple 911 is all they need.
As for being called a "husband beater" call it as you see it. You can't force people to say things but maybe if you start saying it it'll catch on.
In fact the only thing getting in the way is that the man wants to be "macho" by not complaining or calling the police. I guess the solution to your problem is be less macho.

Women for the most part are not as strong, granted some are stronger than their man, but most aren't. If a man hits a women there is going to be some damage. But as a man one should be able to stop a women from hitting just by grabbing her arms or holding her. But if for some reason the women is stronger or faster, one should contact authourities and have proper action taken.

I do not think it is okay for anyone to hit the other. Why not try getting along with one another. If you cannot, then leave. I do not understand why anyone would allow themselves to be a victim and hit either. You have equal rights to call law enforcement whenever you are suffering from abuse.

Nobody should hit anybody. It's called "Abuse" If you are a "MAN" then you never hit a lady or any other female. When woman say they want rights, they mean "Civil Rights". Not rights and lefts.

If you grew up in a family where your father mentally and physically brutalised your mother, you wouldn't ask such a question.
