Braille is probably required on all ATM's as a convenience to the blind (and probably required as a reasonable accommodation). Manufacturers probably just put it on all because they do not know which units will be used for drive up versus walk up.

There are locks on stores that are open for 24 hours for emergencies. In case the store had to close due to weather/holiday/emergency, it can be secured.
