Survey...... If you ever watch Hyacynth Bucket you will understand otherwise you will make up your own mind. Eg. My husband just finished decorating the bathroom, new floor covering included. I had to walk in and act surprised. Are we odd or do you do things like this?... Like Hyacynths neighbour had to admire her Table set out for company.

It was done at my command and i chose the ingredients. The boy ( like Richard) just agrees with me to keep the peace. He is not a mouse though he is a big guy with sense.

supplying,or deciding the ingredients still does not tell you nothing about the finished article.The surprise is when you see it all put together nicely.I used to get this feeling at the xmas table,receiving presies from ex mother in law.She had the cheek ,one year to tell us all,she got all the presies from the petrol shop tokens!!!!!!!! How cheap was that? Especialy as when I ever buy presies for someone,I always chose something I would of liked myself !!! Should of read the early signs then.......damn !

I think Mrs Bouquet would have said something about the floor covering being covered. Ah well at least the bathroom is decorated. All of it.

Yes i did this recently,my husband put some new tiles on the kitchen floor,the plastic kind as they are best for any spillages,and when he had finished i had to come in and say OOooooh lovely,but what i really wanted to say was ''I can see the old lino coming through at the corner'' ..hehe

I'd be very surprised. No way would the bathroom be redecorated without my knowledge. A big thank you wouldn't go amiss. Besides, someone would have to come in to do that. Using the tradesman's entrance of course.

Oh yes of course - men are like little boys, they need to be congratulated for their work at every single step!
Imagine how much ooh-ing and ah-ing I had to do when me and my boyfriend moved into a new house and did the whole place up

Yes I can identify with it totally! Everytime my fiance completes any project I have to act surprised and thrilled or he won't do anything LOL.
