Probably nothing except talk with him. If he is Gay, so be it. I still love him.

Any age on these 'boys'? Most states 16 is the age of consent. I know if I tried to beat my oldest boy when he was 17 I might have ended up with the beating (at 17 he was 6' 3" @230 lbs and was the starting tight end).
If the two boys where younger than 16 it might have just been a case of pecker comparison, not a full-blow homosexual act.
Whacking the kid is NOT the answer regardless and overreacting never wins anything.

Violence was not the answer. The father was wrong. Since the act was done within the father's property, he has the right to call the police himself with charges of trespassing. If the son was under 18 and engaged in sexual acts with someone older than 18, then the father may bring up criminal changes against the perpetrator.

Beat him til he "straightens out?" Right. Now that makes alot of sense. Sounds like the dad has an anger management problem.

How old is the boy? Trying to beat him is not the answer. I would just talk to him and find out what is going on.

id knock before going in his room, and I would make sure he had condoms.
edit: I am married to a man, and I have no problem with gay anything as long as it is safe and consensual.

Sex is illegal in many states for children who might want to indulge themselves .
A knee jerk reaction will have no consequences with the police .
The parent just needs to get his story straight .
I would say I thought he was molesting another child and went after him .

Bad thing :(.
There are two things which have to be done.
1. Talk to the guy.
2. Get him to know some good girl.

Accept him for who he is, and give him one hell of a lecture about safe sex.
