Why the Westerners think that the Palestinian people have to be "crossed"for what they have sinned against their Jewish citizens. Palestine and its people cannot be the saviors for their tortured conscious and souls for what they have done to the Jews who used to call Europe home.

most westerners dont actually know anything real or concrete about israel/Palestine.
A great deal of us that do are not of the opinion that the palestinians should be treated as they ae being treated now, however, speaking as someone who studies this area extensively and has some very direct experience of it, eradicating either state/semistate is not possible from a simple logic perspective, nor is it ethical.

And isn't it ironic that the greatest supporter of Israel from the Western world, the USA, is the least guilty in what you characterize as "sinned against their Jewish citizens" while European countries, which would be more "guilty", are among the worst supporters of Israel in the Western world?

Actually, its not ironic at all when you consider that Israel's raison d'etre is not the Holocaust. This makes sense if you bother reading and understanding the history of the region from the beginning of the 20th century since Zionism predates the Holocaust.

And for the record, the Palestinian Arabs were not "crossed" at all. In fact, they were given the opportunity at the outset to have their own Arab state. This was rejected, of course, since they couldn't tolerate Jews having their own state. This attitude, unfortunately, persists to this day and is the number one reason why peace does not prevail there.

Not all "Westerners" feel this way. A slightly less vitriolic belief may be harbored by those of the Judeo-Christian persuasion, but they do not make up all of Western civilization I assure you. Peace. m
