Last Wednesday, when my car was rammed into. I then hit someone else coming from the other lane. They both were driving enormous trucks. My CR-V is totaled but I did not get hurt; just a little pain under my collarbone from the airbag. Thankfully the other drivers were not badly hurt. And my puppy was not in the back !
The ambulance was driving by so they were there within 2 minutes. The EMTs were very good for me. I guess it was my lucky day.
On the positive side, I will be getting a brand new car for my B-Day (coming up this Thursday)

A year and a half ago when my husband had 5 emergency bypasses. They did a heart cath in one hospital and when they found the main artery to his heart 99.5% blocked they inserted a balloon to keep it open until they could get him to a heart surgeon 40 miles away. Were going to fly by helicopter but because of the balloon and pressurization, was not possible, so it was a very fast driven trip in the ambulance! But it seemed REALLY long to me. In the end, which was months later, it turned out ok, but it was really touch and go there for a while and even after the surgery. I just thank God they found it before he had a heart attack, so I guess the ambulance ride turned out to be good also.

About 2 years ago, when my friend got smashed over the head with a beer bottle whilst trying to help break up a fight and his artery got severed... I went with him in the ambulance. Luckily he was ok!
Before that, around 8 or 9 years ago when me and my Mum got taken to hospital in an ambulance after a bad car accident.
