1 Make a list
2 Then prioritise the listed items with A B and C in order of urgency and importance. e.g. having no clean socks is urgent and important, finishing an essay by next week is important but not urgent, videoing your favourite programme in one hour's time is urgent but not important, shopping for computer games is neither urgent or important.
3 Assess which items can be deleted from your list without your world falling apart (mostly c's) and cross them off. There, don't you feel better already? These can form the basis of a fresh list next week if necessary.
4. Decide which A's need doing first.
5. Then, if you feel stressed or tired, lie down quietly, close your eyes and think of something that makes you feel good or happy, for five or ten minutes but no more, and not allowing your mind to wander to anything stressful. This is a form of meditation.
6. Do as many of the A's as possible and keep crossing off that list, so that you feel encouraged by your achievement.
7. If feasible, ask someone to help with appropriate jobs. e.g. it's not a question of babysit OR cook a meal - you can ask the children to help lay the table or wash the vegetables
NB if a completed job consists of several stages, break it down into steps (small bites at the cherry principle), e.g.find address book, list Christmas cards, write cards, address envelopes. So you can get started but not necessarily finish in the same day.

Yes Ive been like that especially with assignments from college etc. First, make sure you eat properly, fresh fruit etc-bananas will give you natural energy. Write down a list of jobs you have to do- equally important, write down the jobs youHAVE done. Get some fresh air as well that is important, even if its cold, then go to your list and take one job at a time crossing it off when completed. You will get a boost by seeing the jobs being crossed off!

I generally find it's better to sleep, as if you keep going and THEN sleep for three hours (for example), you're still going to sleep for those three hours, and you might as well do the sleeping part NOW, and the work after, when you're fresh.
If sleep isn't possible at all, then I'd go the caffeine or food, have a quick shower, play some music if it doesn't distract you from the task at hand.

It is a simple thing known as work ethic.
You put your nose to the grindstone, and you
keep on, keeping on.
If life was a box of chocolate's they would have little kids do-in it.
Everyone at some point is overwhelmed by the amount of things they have on there plate.
You simply do the best you can do, and as luck would have it you will learn from the expieriance.

In life you will simply not get everything done in a day.
If you are tired, you will not be functioning at the "top of your game", so, I suggest a break, and get the rest your body and mind needs.
After all, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I drink a lot of coffee fast to wake up....I don't focus on what I've got left to do, I just kind of switch my brain off and let auto-pilot take over....one thing at a time.
