In Jane Tanners account of events?

she says her child had been vomiting that night. She still went out to the bar leaving the child alone. On the surface the children in that fated party seem to be privileged, but imagine being in that childs place. When young children feel ill their emotional and physical need for mommy and daddy is even greater isn't it? When I was young I never got foriegn holidays or lived in a big house, but I think I got so much more of the things money can't buy. Is the lifestyle choice these parents made just a sign of the times?

I agree with you. When I was 7, I had food poisoning and spent ten days vomiting. I ran out of bedding and pillows, so my mum gave me her own, and went without sleep because she was tending to me. My mum deprived herself of sleep to look after me, and yet Jane Tanner and her partner couldn't live without a DRINK? Yes, that child has rich parents, but she didn't get the love she needed. I don't think it's a sign of the times, I just think that it's a fine example of a few parents who put having a good time before their children.

yes this is disgusting

i remember when it all happened a 'father' saying he was checking on his ill child..............i couldn't believe then that parents would go out boozing leaving an ill child alone.........

but then, i didn't know that this was not considered to be unusual amongst this disgraceful group of people

So true !! I remember being 6 yrs old and in bed ill with high fever, delirious and having these horrible nightmares. All I wanted was my mother near me.
