seem to suggest (some not all) that the owner's of homes affected by these disasters should have known better and were foolish to live in that area. Are the people who live in "border towns" subject to the same logic? It would be a reasonable assumption that illegal immigrants would migrate to the closest U.S. city or town? Thanks. This is a debate about logic . . . not immigration or natural disasters.

Yes the government has failed to enforce the immigration laws and one of the reasons is that our government is too big. Like any organization the bigger it gets the more people get involved in making a decision, and that means it takes longer to come up with an agreement on how to handle the problem. Our government is getting to the point that it's just a big clumsy beast stumbling over it's own feet.

Government neglect was contributory to the fires and lack of support during the tragedy.
