William of Ockam, famous for Ockam's Razor, famously said there is no theological argument for, nor scientific proof of, God's existence. He was a Franciscan so he was not an atheist. He said that a belief in God's existence must be accepted only by absolute faith. This is still true today.

What kind of God are you talking about? Mohammad...Jesus.. ?
Second law of thermodynamics: All things tend to disorder. Which means that some one had to order before disorder could start disordering ha ha..
Evil is a result of choice and I believe since we are given choice we are also given the responsibility of our choice. Some would say that the evil is the devil but the devil is only evil so long as he chooses to be. He is evil as a result of choice. Thus Evil itself is not the devil but a result of choice people or entities make.
I believe that God gave us choice and that evil and good have nothing to do with the existence of God. He/God could have made a world in which we had no choice and thus there would be no evil. But I think we would be called robots instead of human.
I think God is love and in love he gave us choice. I'm quite glad when I can choose a girlfriend who thinks the same way i do (most of the time), and likes the same things. Not to forget she's the most beautiful girl in the world (in my opinion). We're just fine when things are going well and we have our way. But when things start to go wrong then suddenly we start to question why is God allowing this or that? Is God really there? If he is why doesn't he stop this etc. We were just fine when things were going our way. ha ha Like spoiled children, just like spoiled children.
And yes we do have to pay sometimes or a lot of the times for other peoples choices, but then again other people pay for some of the bad choices we make as well. I think It all balances out in the end.
God loves us
So he gave us choice
As a result of choice there is evil
But there is also joy, challenges, overcoming, excitement, variety and everything else that we humans enjoy.
We need to make the right choices.
The End

I dont know. I have had this question too in my mind for a low time but never found the answer. God's existence has never been proved bya logical sense. Some people claim that God's existence is known by feelings, by certain overwhelming power, by Him answering prayers but there's really no concrete proof.
Also, evil doesnt prove Satan exist. Evil is evil, good is good. Evil doesnt prove God exist the same way evil doesnt prove Satan exist.

Not at all, it could be argued the completly other way. Because the Highjackers kil 100 peoplewho obviously hadnt done anything wrong, how could a loving god permit this. This is one of the main arguments that i believe in, could the god of the new testement let a man abuse an innocent child. If we are made in the image of God then i dont want to pray to that sort of God at all.

Thankfully it does point to the true existence of God and the evil in this world shows how Good is doing quite a job keeping up!!

No, it accually offer a proof agnist god, the all good and rightous. All that is good oppose evil, god is all powerful, god is good, if god is good, then there will be no evil, but there is evil, then there is no god. The digust we feel is because we were raise to think that killing is wrong, for whatever reasons. Some kid in the middle east may be cheering for the same things we weep. They not only think its not evil, but accually opposing evil. They were raise to think that to do this is to save Islam from christians, and therefore of good.

Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”
God took pleasure in all of His creation, but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

Evil and good are both human definitions for types of behavior. Neither proves nor disproves the existence or non-existence of God. Logically, your premise and conclusion are both flawed.

It merely seems so impossible to them. somebody stated it in the past in this thread: not something exists exterior of God."...... not something

Frightened people who see themselves as being without hope do desperate things.
