Yes she can get pregnant, you should be using a condom and no it won't cause you any problem, except by not using a condom you could become a father and by reading this you are definitely not ready for.............

it can be gross as there is blood all on the guy and the bed. also it is possible for a gril to get pregnent whilst she has her period. however it is less likely right at the start of her period than towards the end, as girls ovulate approx. 7 days before the start of their next period, however please note that a girl's cycle can change suddenly for many reasons.
for the guy, it is more likely that she will want to sleep with you, all the hormones raging or something like that.
so the two main points: the mess of blood, and possiblity of pregnency (not something to mess with, better to be safe than sorry)

Sperm can live inside the woman for up to 5 days. so even if you have sex during her period........ if she ovulates right after her period you can still conceive.
If you do not want to get her pregnant you need to use birth control. there are no safe days.

higher chance of pregency when a female is on her period but no it wont do anything to you just smells really bad and may cause some minor irratition but nothing really
