i actually can not get onto my laptop, a blue screen comes up and wont do anything else..

if u have windows cd,then u can reformat yr whole computer and all yr details will be gone

Read the Toshiba User Manual, the Recovery disks may be on the hard drive. Follow the instructions to create your Recovery disks AND to re-install Windows.

DO NOT use a "store-bought" Windows disk!!! They don't have the required Toshiba drivers.

Yes, but only if you have System Restore on your computer and ONLY if you have a Restore point set to go back to. Otherwise NO you will need a System Restore Disc with the Original Operating System.
And you can't borrow one from someone, You will need to purchase a Full Retail Version of the Operating System you choose. XP or Vista.

nowadays you don't get recovery dics, you have to make your own (the very 1st thing you should do) what you have is BSD blue screen of death if you can click start>control panel>performance & maintenance> on left hand side click system restore (providing you have any restore points)

Toshiba, in my opinon are a very helpful company, and will actively go and help you whenever they can. Give them a ring and see what they can do.

yes!! before windows etc logs itself in their is a button u can press to go on the reformatting page.
soz cant remember what the button is

f2 then f5 will re-set yr pc , soz laptop .... i will find out as i had to do it once myself speak soon
