Unless you are talking about the real French people....
well, I can see why you brought this up, it is made out of potatoes. I guess it could be a "hybrid"

A potato is considered a vegie, so I suppose french fries are considered to be vegies. Or they would be french fried tubers.

Well they are made from potato, which is a vegetable, but when it gets fried, i guess it's more oil than potato. So technically yes, but they aren't very healthy for you.

In a way yes, because they come from a potato....but you already knew that. I would say if someone wants you to eat your vegetables to tell them to go by Mcdonalds and get you some.
