With all the information available and the exposure global warming has received ... is there a good case that those who vote Liberal are voting against the environment and the human race? Are Liberal Voters committing a crime against Humanity?

See this accusation of extreme negligence against Howard from the Greens:

Australian Conservation Foundation executive director Don Henry says the IPCC report shows Australia needs to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 80 to 95 per within 50 years... if Australian authorities take drastic action now, some of the predicted devastation could be avoided. "We require a cut of our emissions between 80-95 per cent by 2050 and somewhere between 20-40 per cent by 2020," he said.

"So we can't muck around - we've got to get going. I just make this point: the science is now in; it's terrifying. Australians desire to act - we desire action; all we require now is political will"

Nic - that's just the kind of neocon end-of-days thinking that we're hoping our governments will stop imposing on us.

haha at the guy who thinks I'm asking whether Liberal voters should therefore go to gaol. Don't be silly. But good luck explaining it to your children down the track. Hopefully in future when Howard et al are gone the Liberal party will become more respectable and responsible and so it will be easier for you.

You didn't go to the Robert Mugabe school of political diplomacy did you? If you disagree you go to Gaol!
If Kevin Rudd gets elected maybe he should have an enquiry into how Liberal voters could be stopped from voting altogether. He could get the military junta in Burma, Peter Beattie and President Musharraf to give evidence, I hear they have lots of experience in stopping any sort of opposition to their rule.
I suppose I could always share a cell with Kevin Rudd, me for voting for John Howard and him for destroying evidence in a criminal investigation.

If voting for John Howard is a crime against humanity what would your punishment for voting Liberal be? a good whipping.
BTW the labor party has only just discovered climate change as a political issue, climate change was not an issue at the last election or any election before that.
I will explain to my children that Kevin Rudds solution to climate change was to sign up to an outdated agreement that did nothing to reduce the risk of warming.

Hehehe, I don't know that I'd go that far, although I can understand the Greens' position.

After all, they've been saying this stuff for years now and it is sickening that Howard acts like he's just discovered Wonderbread when he talks about it now (after denying it for nine and a half years).

Cheers :-)

There will be a nuclear war before then, so I don't think we have to worry about it too much.
