There are 3 dimention of space as far as we are aware of.

There maybe 5 perhaps 6 more spacial dimensions that we cannot see as dictated by string theory/M theory.

So why only one time dimension??

dude nobody said there is only one dimension. Its just that the universe which we exist in is governed only by four of these. Which means there are other parallel universes that are governed by other dimensions, which may or may not share the spacial and time dimensions which govern our universe. Its just that our tiny brains are not good enough to comprehent and visualize multiple dimensions and its effects. Our brains are confined to thinking within three dimensions of space that we cannot even visualize the existance of a fourth spacial which can explain a hyper space. Same is the case with time.

Perhaps we don't know much about time. Maybe time has the ability to enter a hyperdimensional space. Typically we only need one dimension of time but for the person who is experiencing time like in a dream time can jump around; or during a tragic event time can slow down. Maybe those are some of the other dimensions of time.

There is only one dimension of time because that is all that is required.
Space requires 3 dimensions to prevent a singularity and allow the universe to expand radially.
To try to inject more spacial dimensions doesn't make sense and is not required to produce the universe we experience today.

That is a really good question. Maybe some of the extra dimensions of string theory are not space but are time - like. Here is another thing - is time quantised? Is there a minimum unit of time, (I don't mean the Planck time)?

Time is a measure of accumulated increments. It is not possible to have a left time, or a right time, an up time, or a down dime...time still accumulates and the count still gets bigger and bigger with every passing moment...until we run out of time. At that point it is no longer our concern.
