Well bitterness is still in my heart because it is very fresh right now I can not tell a lie hehe...
But what I have learned is that i will go on tomorrow is another day and the thoughts and the emotions that I had are slowing fading away and with time I will have control and never let anothers darkness ever penetrate my soul. For I know God is on my side in my path in life and no one or thing can bring me to their destruction...I love life people and LIGHT so I have done so much self worked hard in College ..Corporate America.etc. I appreciate who I am my value and no other person will ever make me feel below them or devalue me even if I had strong feelings for them and they turned out to be this DARK SELFISH EGOTISTICAL monster that no one sees.........God always makes me see the light....and my mind is extremely strong :)) Love is a gift and when others or things cause you bitterness it times to just let things be.....and move on to beautiful and loving experiences with people and things that make you feel great!!!! It takes time but if you are willing to heal and release the pain from something or someone you will be ok in the end and Stronger then never before.........

Bitterness grows from resentment, resentment is a killer of
the spirit, If I stay in this mode I hurt my self more then any body, the other person goes there merry way. So work through the pain of hurt till you come out the other side to
forgiveness, does not mean you will forget, forgive and let go.

I'm not so sure that you can..the heavier it is,the more it seems to sink..you can try and shrug it off..but then maybe you didn't really feel it that much at all...But if you can't I have found out that the complete and genuine love of another human casts out the 'poison'..like dust in the wind...What have I been doing this for..and for so long..What a Dummy!! All the Best.

I don't think I do anything purposefully. Like one of your answers, I really do have a short memory, lol. I also don't hold grudges, and with time, I tend to forget all of the bad things, at least to a point that they don't hurt my heart anymore.

I don't think there's really anything one could've done to avoid that bitterness except to finally accept the inevitable (as it already happened) and forgive and forget. But forgiving is one hell of a challenge.

Move on to better things and remember not to repeat the past experiences and not deal with the people who did the hurting.

We’re way to lazy to be bitter for long no matter how fun it is.
If it doesn’t go away after awhile, go with it, wallow in it, seek righteous retribution and sweet glorious vengeance… you know all that jazz…

i always look at the good side like the lessons i learned from it. There is always a reason to happen. I always think of the reasons behind it and try to avoid it so it will not happen again.
