In all types of media coverage, Buzz Aldrin is interviewed, featured, mentioned etc much more than Neil Armstrong. Armstrong was the first man on the moon, however Aldrin is used and gets much more airplay than Armstrong. In fact I can not find much about Armstrong on line. If you believe you can shed some light on this please do.

Neil Armstrong feels like too much was made over the fact that he was the first man to walk on the Moon. It was a group effort and he said that after all he and Buzz had landed together. He feels like by limiting his public appearances shows a bit more class and restraint. He did do some commercials for Chrysler long ago, in the 80s was the host of an A. & E. show about flight and he was on the commitee to study the Challenger accident. He also feels that too much emphasis was put on the first landing and that it overshadowed (rightfully so) the other lunar missions which were far more complicated and accomplished a lot more.
.He turns down almost all offers for public appearances.

Neil Armstrong lives a quiet life as a gentleman farmer in Ohio. He does not wish publicity.
Buzz Aldrin has always been better with words - remember his description of the Moon?

Neil Armstrong was military, he flew in the Korean war and was also a test pilot on rocket planes, one of the last to fly the X-13 I think. Many years ago he said that he preferred to keep out of the publicity, some of those men already had had enough of it before Apollo 11.
Buzz is more gregarious it seems and has the honour of having busted Bart Sibrel one.

I have heard that Neil does not want to be in the public eye.
Buzz is more out-going, he is a politician, and probably enjoys the lime-light.
Nothing will change the fact that Neil was first on the Moon. He does not need any more publicity than that.

Neil Armstrong made things very clear that we wanted to be left alone with his status. Buzz on the other hand enjoys the spotlight. Can you blame them on their choices. What about Collins. He must still be on the moon.

the in the LEM is extremely small, and a good in effective condition for 2 adult adult males in enormous area fits. The go out door between the two adult adult males opened in Buzz's direction, so Neil had a sparkling direction out. Buzz had no room to get around the door till after Neil have been given out. Buzz took photos of the 1st moon walk by applying Neil from the precise port interior the LEM.

Neil doen't like that much publicity. He rarely makes public appearances or speaking engagements. Buzz does like those things so he gets more airtime.
