All universities must reach a certain standard set by some government body. Private uni's usually cost more but are no more difficult than government ones.

Some are and some aren't, much of it depends on you. What may be hard for you may not be hard for others so it also depends on what you mean by hard. Good students spend 2 hours out of class for every hour in class, and you typically find students who work more at private schools. However that is probably more about who goes private and who goes public.

Visit campus, visit classes, get some assignments and look at some books and see for yourself.
