Its good to be fairly equal and part of a team

thats thinking as one for the right reasons... but conformity in its pure form is bad

ALSO CONFORMITY IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

NAZIS, DEATH CULTS, THE KHMER ROUGE WERE ALL INTO CONFORMITY.

OFTEN ALL THE WORST ABUSE IS CONFORMITY.

PEOPLE SMOKE AND DRINK AND TAKE DRUGS ALL TO CONFORM AND PEER PRESSURE TO SAY SHOPLIFT.

CONFORMITY IN A WORLD OF POST CODE GANGS IS NOT GOOD.

PEOPLE JOIN IN BULLYING TO CONFORM

PEOPLE STOP THINKING IN RELGIOUS GROUPS OR BEING ABLE TO SEE TRUTH TO CONFORM.

MUCH OF THE WORLDS PROBLEMS ARE DUE TO CONFORMING.

IE THERE ARE FAR MORE LAGER LOUTS AND VIOLENT CHAVS THEN THEIR ARE METALERS. DO RESEARCH.

OFTEN THE NON CONFORMISITS ARE THE ONES WHO ARE RIGHT.

WHO POINTED OUT WITCHES WERE HEALERS.

RELGIONS WAS BAD

MAN COULD FLY

CREATION IS A MYTH

ETC

WITHOUT NON CONFORMISTS THERE WOULD BE NO SCIENCE OR DISCOVEREIRES AND WE WOULD STUILL BE CAVEMEN

death...

I and others can think for ourselves like most in the alternative cultures like rave or rock or goth etc.

as said its good to be in a team and have some belonging... but only ifg that team behaves

Just like its good to have leaders to organise but if the leaders are wrong, currpt or bullies say a sexaully abusive teacher as opposed to a careing excellent teacher then rebellion is a good thing.

but not simply for the sake of causing trouble

the girl was non conformisit but hurt nobody.

If her mates had the head teacher battered into apologising in front of the whole assembly.

that would have been a good thing.

I think you have a point. You need a little anarchic non conformity to balance out the bias toward conformity the establishment will always have, as such conformity suits them well. Even they , however, if they are wise they realise you need a little nonconformity, otherwise society becomes too oppressive, which can lead to problems. There fore non conformity acts like a kind of pressure release valve.

Wow!!! Quite a thought you were having!!!

Humanity is still in the process of discovering the extremes--the greyness in between is jumped right over....Conformity is neither good nor bad...it is two-fold, a very effective control method, and a means of joining like energies...very empowering, depending on intent of purpose.

It also makes those free-thinkers shine!!! How else would they, or we, know them as such??? They are still the few who realize themselves as the creators that they are.

As well, how would we make any contribution to the grander evolution of our world, lest we work together...to "form" enmasse??? Hmmm...what a concept, huh??? LOL

Anyway, see how it's not an extreme of bad or good...it is a means to ends, strong creative force...it is the intent of use that could fall into the duality of things.

For men, the Neandrathal Era is just ending. LOL Sorry, that was a Chickie thing...LOL

Don't agree with everything you said but conformity is there for people who can't think for themselves and get brain washed by the rest of society but you do need some to a certain degree or there would be complete anarchy. The world needs both conformists and non-conformists to create a healthy balance!

Respect is earned. I think when one is the absolute worst president ever as he is. These things will happen. I don't condone be rude and disrespectful. I do encourage replacing him by vote. We cannot afford four more years of his incompetence. Race is not a factor in his treatment . It was a factor in his being elected to a job he has proven that he is not capable of performing. Now,having said that. The alternative choices are nearly or as bad as him it a lot of ways. That is sad. He has loaded up every child in this nation with more debt than any President in history. With his policies and the threat of more such policy, he has destroyed more wealth than any human being in history, which is always what happens when you set out to redistribute wealth: you end up destroying it. He has brought us to the brink of the most massive tax increases in history and if we don’t elect enough Republicans in November to stop him that is exactly what we will get. He has forced through legislation without a single republican vote that may well destroy the finest health care system in history when all we needed were some measures to control costs. He has divided America along racial lines in destructive ways and he is doing so again by suing Arizona over its attempt to control the drug trade and human smuggling trade threatening its security. He has failed to form a policy to adequately deal with the vicious Mexican drug cartels that are essentially running parts of that nation and becoming an increasing threat to ours. He has traveled the world making apologies for America instead of defending its timeless and treasured ideals of freedom and peace for all nations of good will. He has said there is nothing exceptional about America, something no other president has ever said and something which alone suggests he is a historically poor president. He has hired people of strange and radical views to hold important federal posts in which they pursue more bad policy that no administration in history has ever pursued.

When you are naive and full of rebellion its so easy to find the most extreme incidences to "support" your ideas.

You are taking something out of context. No one with any logical sense would say conforming to wearing school uniform equate with obeying instructions for genocide.

Something you need to learn when you are young is that there are things worth fighting for and things you just need to accept and drop. You have to make a judgement about when you need to speak up and when its best to shut up and walk away.

If everyone rebelled and no one conformed to anything, disobeyed rules and the law, there would be chaos. You have to learn that all actions have a consequence.

Are you trying to say if you comply to wearing school uniform you are a Nazi?

I argue that people smoke and take drugs NOT to conform to peer pressure, but to DEFY and REBEL against the law, and parents. Shop lifting is done out of greed. Again its rebellion against rules.

Science is very much based in rules and laws (of nature / science etc) Science has MORE rules and constraints than practically any other field!

Look at the criminals and people in prison. They are non conformers and rebellions. Do you seriously propose we all stoop to that?

You really are showing such naivety! You will learn with more life experience! You are sniffing up the wrong tree!!
