I think you mean the song "Greatest Love of All "
She did not write this song. Lyrics were by Linda Creed ; music was by Michael Masser.
Linda Creed was dying of breast cancer when she wrote the lyrics so I think that explains a lot.

While the above poster has the songwriters for The Greatest Love Of All correct, I believe Whitney believed in the words to that song. I also believe that:
"I believe the children are our future.
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside"
means the innocence is the best quality to emulate.
