This song really hit hard on people by seeing that changes in the world happen, for the better or worse. It also says that as people, we need to make a change and difference within ourselves. That rap single didn't top the charts like other singles did, but it definitely made an influence on people willing to listen. It's just sad that 'Pac died soon after the single went out.
