Ok, this is getting annoying, is Obama a Muslim or not? according to Fox News (Yes, the loon station) Obama was in fact educated as a muslim, and was muslim. I wouldn't consider this a big story, except he has repeatedly claimed that he was never Muslim. Does anybody know for a fact what the truth is? Anybody an old childhood friend (lol), or just really up on the facts? This is bothering me, almost as much as the stories about Rudy's kids coming out against him.

Agreed Bravozul... but thats just it, they are saying he may have been Muslim a lot longer, as in he lied in his book. Thats the problem, getting actual facts is getting difficult in this election. Believe me I'd vote Obama before Hillary. Its my understanding that he was never Muslim, but the story keeps popping up so I want to see what people know.

He went to Catholic school in Indonesia and then to public school for two years because his mother could not afford the tuition. They allow prayer in public school in Indonesia, but it is secular school.

Obama spent a couple of years in a public school in Indonesia that was (like Indonesia) predominantly muslim. His step father was a muslim. Yes this is all well documented and Obama has been open and truthful about it but claims that he was never a muslim himself .
He also spent two years at a Catholic school in Indonesia, and has been a regular churchgoing member of the Church of Christ for more than 20 years.
Nobody has presented any evidence that would cast doubt on Obama's own professions of his religon.

I would hope, and I think I am reading that the larger question is: is Obama truthful about his past? Politicians run around trying to distance themselves from what direction the wind is blowing today (licence the illegal aliens?) More importantly how would we treat the truth if it so happened that Obama at one time was indeed a practicing Muslim? Being associated with the Muslim faith unfortunately has the connotation of being associated with the evil axis. Who loves America more? Muslims or Baptists? What difference does it really make how one prays to their God(s) as long as you believe in your heart you are serving the country to the fullest extent and can look in the mirror and see someone who is truthful to themself.

He went to a Muslim school when he was 5 I believe. That was in Kenya if I remember right. That doesn't make him a Muslim necessarily then and it certainly doesn't make him one now. It is probably a cheap shot but how can you hold it against a 5 year old anyway if you were the sort to hold that against him.

Well, no wonder, after Bush protecting Bin laden for the last 7 years, now obama (or osama) becomes the vice president, and of course Hillary will probably have a fatal accident (kind of Lady D) and that terrorist will automatically become the president, and then that's it, the terrorism took over America for good.
