You illustrate love as it really is, both a blessing and a curse. Love can be the most wonderful emotion in the world, but it can also cause pain and anguish, becoming a "poison" to the soul. I personally didn't have such an experience, but I know many people who have, and just listen to the news and you'll see how love can cause terrible things to happen.

True love grows to victory in spite of our self's.
What your poem describes is co-dependence or lust, not love.

They should put your poem in the dictionary for that definition. Well Written, I liked it very well. Love is a wonderful thing; At first, it is peace, then it is passionate, then it is a burden, then it is gone, then it is chaotic, then it is a blessing, then you look for it again. *Bravo Babe
