The only problem is if they're not both 'positive' like O+ and AB+ and then only if the woman has been pregnant before. If so, the doctors will treat it anyway, so don't worry.

Blood type is not the concern but Rh factor is. Mothers with positive Rh factor carrying a child with a negative Rh factor are usually okay but the baby needs a special injection at birth. Mothers with negative Rh factor carrying positive Rh factor child are usually sick and need a shot themselves.
