can anybody help my tumbledryer works only when i turn it on with the door open i have to spin it and quickley shut the door i have checked the fan belt and it is very tight not slipping and the timer switch is working .

Sounds like the door switch.

I'm almost certain it is a capacitor problem. I just went through the same routine with my White Knight. The capacitor is what holds enough charge to get the motor turning. If you take off the lower back panel you will see it. It is a small tube with a couple of wires attached by 'spades'.Take it out and get a replacement. Make sure you make a note of which spade wire goes into which fitting. A replacement is about £10

yes as the other answers say it the capacitor that's faulty worth getting a replacement, but make sure you disconnect from the mains before attempting a repair,

trv c is right, switch on the door, I would recommend a service engineer. Maybe not! Nice one hapa!

it's the starter capaciter at the side of the motor easy to change take it off and go to a repair shop with it you should be able to get one no to expensive
