Yes my bfs own looks bigger when he cleans it up. Its like some of it gets hidden behind the hair.

Some people say it makes a difference to the look if the hair covers up some of the shaft, but I doubt it would really change anything. Also if the individual happens to dislike the bare look then that would make it worse.
